Celebrate The Small Things AND Champion In Flight

May 9, 2014 By C. Lee McKenzie 45 Comments

Thanks VIKLIT
Yesterday the washing machine broke and flooded the laundry room floor.
The cat had a major hairball event.
The puppy ate the orchid.
The sink clogged.
Today I’m Celebrating that my husband has “fixed” the washing machine.
The cat is in the sun, grooming and smiling as cats do.
The puppy is well and home with his real mom.
The sink. . .well, it’s slow, but sure.
And then we have to give a huge
HURRAH
to
Tyrean Martinson
as we
REVEAL
her
COVER!
THE SECOND BOOK IN THE CHAMPION TRILOGY

About Champion in Flight
A year after she won the battle for Septily, Clara feels trapped in Skycliff by the Allied Council. As the last pieces of information about the Healing Caves fall into place, Clara is attacked by an assassin. Covert Drinaii mercenaries and the Council aren’t going to stop Clara from her quest to heal her broken blade. As Champion of Aramatir, she must act.
Meanwhile, in the joint kingdoms of Rrysorria and Wylandria, the youngest and still cursed swan prince, despairs of ever being whole again. In a moment of anger and desperation, Liam discovers a blood link between him and a dark sorceress.
Clara won the battle for Septily, but her battle isn’t over.

Hi Lee .. oh oh .. thank goodness for a husband and I sure hope all is recovered by now .. and that sink is less clogged - such an irritation when things happen …

    Cheers Hilary

This is so much like my life. Usually, the disasters happen as soon as hubby goes TDY. A chicken disappears. The neighbor returns the escapee 3 weeks later. Yea! Turns out it's been hiding and laying its eggs under the neighbor's house. Upon rejoining the flock, the roaming chicken teaches all the others how to fly over the cuckoo's nest. They've escaped every day since. But they still return at night. Yea!

Our cabinets arrive. Yea! But they don't match. After a week of me pleading with the cabinet company, they decide to reorder. Yea!

Storms help our new orchard trees and garden grow. Yea! The road into our neighborhood floods and the septic tank backs up. Oh, wait, the last one happened before hubby left but before we could get it fixed. How can you fix the weather? Still yea!-for the blueberries ripened by the rain. Let it pour!

Great post! Thanks for sharing! Following!

Yep, washing machines can agitate and put you in a spin when they don't work. Hopefully, it really is fixed. Might be a good idea to remove the cat from the sun. It can get pretty darned hot on the sun. Puppy goes home and had done it's work, kinda like The Littlest Hobo. No more feelings to make you sink, I think.

Yay to Tyrean. Another one of Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar's adoring fans. All the beast, um best, Tyrean. And living in the Pacific Northwest is neat. Quite often wet, but neat nonetheless.

Time to sort out my widescreen microwave…..

Is it dreadful that I laughed at your misfortunes? Especially since they bore a close resemblance to my last comment to you. The only thing you didn't do was get the runs from the black berries. Yay! My sink clogs every day. I've become a champion plunger-er.

Speaking of that (champions, not plunger-ers), congrats to Tyrean on her new cover! 🙂
