Deja Vu Blogfest and Merry Christmas.

December 22, 2014 By C. Lee McKenzie 42 Comments

D.L. HAMMONS

I posted this in November of 2009! Imagine. I was discumboobled even then. Maybe it should have been discombobulated? At least this year I’m aware that the word I used originally isn’t a word anyone recognizes. It must have been a wild 2009!

So here’s my Deja Vu Post.

Discumboobled

Is that how you spell it?

Tonight is another book signing APPEARANCE and I’m still putting together what I want to say. Then there’s company arriving, my mom who needs some TLC, the cat with a hairball issue, and a leaky toilet. I haven’t blogged in days. I’m wearing my baseball hat all day because I can’t use Halloween as an excuse for my hair anymore. My Tweets have turned to Chirps and when I looked at the garden from my window one of my patio chairs is floating in the fish pond.

Anybody have a system that keeps writing, family, pets, house, and personal hygiene needs under control? If so, please send ASAP!

In the meantime, wish me luck with tonight.

*****

So that was my 2009 post. Deja Vu anyone? Hope you’ll go to the others in this retrospective week and say hi. Here’s the link to D.L. HAMMONS‘s blog again. Their posts will go up on Friday 19 Dec.

As most of you know, my new Young Adult book is out. Thanks to all who’ve offered to spread the word. I’ll be in touch, but here’s another way you can support me. And it’s simple. Thanks for that!

So much for Deja Vu!

Back to 2014 and the Christmas Present. May you and those you love be well and share beautiful time together.

See you all in 2015.

A good post about a writer's life, while being lived! Thanks for sharing, and for commenting on my blog. I've never heard of Thunderclap, so thank you for introducing me to it. I'm sorry I got here too late to be of use to you, but looks like you did well anyway! Happy New Year!

LOL! Catching up with the blog hop 🙂 Love the word discumboobled (although the inner smutty teen in me wants to giggle at boob!). This sounds like my life most of the time, glad it's not just me. Has it got any less discumboobled? x

It does feel like a juggling act most of the time, doesn't it? I'm dealing with a book release right after the holidays and it's definitely stressful! Too much to do and so little time.

Now I really feel bad that I'm still not on Twitter, and you've been "Chirping" since 2009! It seems like you're busier than ever now, so your practice run really paid off! This was fun, Lee! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Hi human and celebrity superstar author, Lee,

Your new young adult book is out and that's very good. Please let me know when your book becomes a pensioner. Arf!

Cynic alert! Oh my, yet another blog hippety hoppety that leads to a link that really is another way of having somebody bring attention to themselves. Sorry, blog hops are all about a sharing, caring blogging community. Ahem and arf, again!

I have the strange sensation I've been here before and left this comment….weird, eh.

Have a peaceful Christmas and the bestest of New Year's.

I signed up for your Thunderclap on FB, since I have no Twitter, Tumbler, Pinterest, Instagram, or any of those modern social things … Maybe Santa will give them to me for Christmas. More likely, I'll get coal … which will soon be a new social media thingie! "COAL" - the new way to burn through even more time on social media!!!

Love the deja vu - perfect! For me that was the entire year, although in a different sort of way, as life goes. Trying now to get un- combobulated from this desperate year and looking forward to the NEW!

May your Christmas be filled with peace and your New Year filled with creativity and prosperity!

That's too funny! Well, clearly you must have been de-Discumboobled at least a little bit, because you managed to make it to 2014 and a release of "Sudden Secrets!"

…or should that be "Recumboobled?" since it eliminates the double negatives of de-" and "dis-"?

At any rate, congratulations on the book release! And Happy Deja Vu!

And have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

Oh Lee…how you always make my day with your posts. This Deja Vu post was one worth sharing again. I could feel the familiarity of this kind of situation myself, the whole "doing way too much at one time and everything seeming already hell in a hand baskey" kind of thing.

I wish I could provide a great response but since I'm in such a state of busy-mess-ness *cue shifty eyes looking everywhere and nowhere at the same time*, I'll have to commisserate in the discomboobled state of being.

May you and yours have a wonderfully blessed Christmas and I'll see you in the new year.

    HI, Lee!

    Merry Christmas!

Too funny…. We've all had days, weeks, and even months like that. I'm still not able to balance all of it and I have no pets or kids! How do you moms and dads do it?!!!!!!

As DL says, you must all have evil minions…. LOL.

CONGRATS on your book! I am so THRILLED FOR YOU!!!!!!! I'll send out a tweet for you now!

    ALL THE BEST!
