I don't really "quit" per se. I just ignore them until I next have the time to breathe. :_

Great cartoon! There are some instances when people have no choice, but to drop out of the challenge. Fortunately, most of us have come too far to quit now! Julie

Sometimes I feel like quitting but then I don't. The idea makes me too mad so I just limp along and hope it gets easier.

Excellent post! Glad you are not quitting! I think at times we all become overwhelmed with things- but usually giving yourself a little break takes care of everything. I like the comic that you shared! ๐

I had that same picture posted in my dorm in college!!!! What fun to see it again. I often entertain the notion of quitting (many things), but am proud that I haven't yet. I just cut back if I have to.

One of my favorite wall hangings is that cartoon, Lee. Probably the only inspirational/motivational thing my dad gave me was a photocopy of that cartoon. He gave it to me when I first started my career as a scientist. Trying to find a way in a tough field, making little to no money and fighting the fight every day. I put the cartoon is a sheet protector and taped it to a prominent laboratory wall, where is still provides guidance 24 years later. This simple idea helped me endure in my science, coaching and writing careers.
Don't give up, keep swinging.

I'm not quitting! At some point, I may be in this for 20 years without having my own book published, which will be mortifying to explain…

Yes, I thought about quitting trying to get back into fine arts and quitting trying to make more films and then even thought about quitting Twitter.
Lately, I thought about quitting my routine of visiting more than the minimum of five A to Z Challenge blogs because I felt like it didn't get me anywhere, but alas, here I am…still reading new blogs, still Tweeting and still trying to finish this script so I can make a darn movie. I have to stay busy or else I'd go crazy, lol.
Sometimes quitting is easy. Sometimes quitting is hard. No matter how well or how difficult it may seem for one to quit, either way, you still might miss a whole lot.

Great post – never never quit! Someone once told me that they couldn't think of a single author who stuck with it who wasn't published. I remember this all the time.
