Surviving the AtoZ April Challenge and Hat’s Off Corner with Medeia Sharif

January 19, 2015 By C. Lee McKenzie 35 Comments

I survived last year and the year before. Let’s see if I can do it again this year.

I’m a new AtoZ Team Member this year, so I’m figuring out what I’m supposed to do or not do as a member of this group. Today I’ve posted on Blogging from A to Z.

******

Hat’s Off Corner

Medeia  is one prolific writer. Here’s her latest book. Be sure to enter her GIVEAWAY!

52 LIKES, Evernight Teen, 2015
Purchase from Amazon, Evernight Teen (vendor links will be updated on the author’s site)

After a brutal rape and near-murder, Valerie wants to get past feelings of victimhood from both the assault and her history of being bullied. She’s plagued by not knowing the identity of her rapist and by the nasty rumors in school about that night. Valerie follows clues from ghostly entities, past victims of the rapist-murderer, contacting her through a social media site—why do all of their eerie photos have 52 likes under them? Their messages are leading her to the mystery man, although he’ll put up a fight to remain hidden.

My Quote for the Day:

I learned early on that if you don’t want your memos to get ou in trouble someday, just don’t write any. Dick Cheney.

Are you thinking about a theme for the AtoZ April Challenge 2015? Did you sign up for a copy of Medeia’s book? Write any memos lately?

I’m off to southern California for a few days, so I may not get around to say hi to everyone right away. Sorry. Have to take care of more of my mom’s estate business. I’ll be back to “normal” one of these days.

    Hey Lee,

And to confuse matters, you now wear a hat which you do take off. This hopefully doesn't cause confusion in regards to that other Lee. Yes, that Lee, the dude obsessed with the alphabet! Hard to believe, I know.

Now, to my horror, you have decided to join Team Alphabet! This calls for me to sob uncontrollably. I was hoping that the A to Z thingy ma jiggy would just go away. Sigh and alas….

Medeia, is one of my adoring fans and seriously, yes seriously, hearty congrats to Medeia.

I can see it now. Celebrity author and the throngs of starstruck fans in southern California. Perhaps you should put that hat back on and wear some sunglasses. Mumble stuff about the alphabet to your fans to add to the confusion.

Yes, before my computer crashes, I shall sadly have to leave.

    Your forever starstruckest fan,

    Gary!

Good luck with the A-Z challenge. I've done it for about 3 years, but I don't think I'll be doing it this year because of all the other things I have going on. It'll be really tough to be online 6 days a week.

Awesome that you are doing A-X again and that you are a team member.

So happy to see Medeia's book all over the blogosphere!

Dick Cheney's quote is so true. I'm aging myself badly here, but I remember when the news of Nixon's tapes came out. The first thing I thought was, "Why ARE there tapes?" Medeia is indeed prolific, isn't she?

You're doing a great job with A to Z so far! My mother's estate business is just kind of hold so far as we wait for paperwork and stuff. Then we have to touch up the house so we can sell it. Wish we could just keep it.

Congrats to Medeia! Have a wonderful trip, C.Lee!

I'm on the fence with A to Z this year . . . every year I barely keep my head above water and start the month off a bit behind, but I have this idea that keeps jumping up and down in the back of my head. Maybe . . .

Hi Lee. Been thinking about the A-Z and really want to avoid doing it last minute. Last year's experience was crazy. (Good you are planning things early 🙂 Also….regarding posting answers to comments and whether people see them (do not see your post here for some reason), this bothers me too. I seldom know if someone has commented back, although I like reading other people's comments. I don't mind email responses to comments I've spent time on….with the exception of during the A-Z (which may be difficult keeping up). (My email is below my profile pic on right)

Congrats on being a team member! I write love notes to my hubby but I would never think of writing things that others who are famous, write. They are asking for trouble. The book sounds excellent but heavy regarding the topic
