__________
Her Grammarness
This morning I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and instead of feeling as fit as a fiddle, I was weak as a kitten. However, even though I was beside myself, after a very nice cappuccino, I managed to pull myself together. After all, we know that every cloud has a silver lining and all’s well that ends well. Those thoughts kept me afloat, and I bounced downstairs as if I didn’t have a care in the world.

Thank you so much, Lee. Sorry, still trying to play catch up from this week.
Hilary Melton-Butcher says
Yes Lee – pecker as in a signal up or down??!! H
Hilary Melton-Butcher says
Hi Lee .. Diane's book seems to have a great deal to offer ..
Cliches seem to appear when needed as a way of explaining something … When you have lemons, make lemonade:
there's always a positive …
(keep your pecker up even when you're down)- not sure I really want to describe that one ..
Cheers Hilary
Julie Musil says
Spunk on a stick! I love that! Unlike everyone else, I haven't heard of this book yet. Thanks so much for the info.
Bish Denham says
Congratulations Diane!
A favorite cliche? How about, you can't get water from a stone, or don't leave a stone unturned, or a rolling stone gathers no moss. (Everybody must get stoned….)
Beth says
This book is every where this week.
michelle says
Spunk is burning up the blogosphere this week!
Ouch! A cliche catastrophe! LOL
Lexa Cain says
I've seen Diane's book everywhere recently. Good luck to her!
Cliches are definitely a problem. People get used to communicating with others in the quickest, easiest way. Our speech is often laced with cliches because everyone understands them — they're efficient. But they're death to a novel. Ugh…
Natalie Aguirre says
Sounds like a good book. I'm really into building my author platform after reading Chuck Sambuchino's book on writer platform. He's from Guide to Literary Agents/Writer's Digest. I'm interviewing him next Wednesday and giving away a copy of his book.
Congrats to Diane. I'll have to check out her book.
Catherine Stine says
Cliches make me want to SCREAM!
Self pub books are always welcome in the indie world. I usually hire someone to format for me, but one of these days…
Barbara Watson says
Sounds like a book any writer should have!
Angela Brown says
I must admit, the new book is nice but with resources like Susan Kaye Quinn's self-pubbing tips, Elana Johnson's marketing tips, Maria Zannini's Punch List all being available for free at their blogs, it has a lot of free competition out there to contend with. I'm sure it will do well.
Also, a cliche in one hand is a conundrum in another. The meaning can vary depending on the book.
Powdered Toast Man says
This guy I ran into said he could publish and distribute my book from his van. Sounded legit.
Alex J. Cavanaugh says
In like Flint?
Congratulations to Diane!
