Some Publishing Tidbits

  • Over 1,000 books are published in the U.S. everyday.
  • Grub Street Reads was established Jessica Bennett and Leslie Ramey who are Indie authors. They have set out to create a high standard for independently published books. Their seal says your book gets an A.
  • If you write Middle Grade stories, have you considered a mystery-thriller? It seems there’s a lack of those and publishers would like a few.
  • Here are the 2013 Edgar Nominees for Best Juvenile mysteries.

Some New Books on the Way

Stay tuned for Lisa Gail Green’s cover reveal coming on March 11.
New book out by Anna Silver, and she’ll visit The Write Game on March 14.

Seriously? 1000 books a day!?! Whoa.

And that fridge reminds me of mine when my three kids were all little ones. We'd go through 7 gallons of milk a week!

I've always said the only thing I'll ever regret is I won't live long enough to read all the books I want to read. Now I know it for sure!

It's no surprise that publishers are looking for MG mysteries – I adored Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys when I was that age! ๐Ÿ™‚

My kids totally think I am the only person qualified to see what there is to eat in the fridge and cupboards. What's up with that?

Like Al Diaz, I can see why it's so difficult to stand above the crowd with there's so much coming out in the publishing world, no matter which route taken. WOW!

I'm starting the week off on a happy note revealing the cover for my novella, Frailties of the Bond. It's a YA story with a bite (hehe!)
