I don’t know about anyone else, but during this Thanksgiving holiday I abandoned all thoughts of “good and sensible” when it came to eating. I stuffed myself fuller than any holiday turkey could ever imagine. I’m now on Alka Seltzer and Tums. If anyone mentions food or doing dishes this next week, they’re toast.

One treat I always enjoy is going to Spanish Bay and waiting for the Piper to pipe the sun down. Here he is on the day after T’day doing an excellent job of sending the sun into the Pacific.

What was your holiday like? Family? Friends? Long break from work or regular routine? Ready to get back and dig in? I AM. For me, it’s back to sensible eating and writing and remembering the wonderful moments during this holiday.

I love that photo of the piper! Thanksgiving was good. A brother who usually can't come because he's working (he's a police officer) was able to make it, but another brother wasn't able to, because he left for the Navy two days before. We had fun with family, lots of laughs.

That sounded absolutely devine, Lee. I love beach walks.

What a marvelous Thanksgiving holiday. I can't decide which I would enjoy more–a walk on a beach or a piper playing as the sun sets.

Thanksgiving is one holiday where dieting is down right inappropriate. No way can one partake in gratefulness for bounty by eating celery sticks.
Thank you for the lovely images too.

Ate more than I should have the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Love the pics.

Piper on the beach – pure awesome. I over stuffinged and have the tight pants to prove it.

I ate more food than any human being should be allowed to eat…and then I worked for nine hours straight on Black Friday. I may have burned off 1/12 of my calories consumed π

We decorated the Christmas tree and made cookies while listening to Christmas music. I'm almost finished shopping, too. One more trip should do it!

Well, Lee, you can hardly feel bad about the indulgent eating when you're hiking and walking on the beach. That evens things out, right?!
I spent the day with family and did far too much eating, as well. But I enjoyed a nice string of days outside of the regular schedule that left me feeling refreshed.
Barbara Watson says
Totally jealous of the two beach walks. It's my favorite place to walk. I did spend the holiday with my family, however, and that's what counts most.
Elizabeth Seckman says
Ate too much also. And since I have no beach, all those calories will convert to pounds.

The piper would be cool! Saw many pipers in Scotland when I visited.

The piper at sunset would be pretty cool. Thanksgiving out my way was nice and relaxing.

I was a bit more practical when it came to eating, but I hardly got any work done. Looking forward to getting back into it today.

Lovely pictures. Sounds like a fun holiday. I ate way too much this weekend but got some exercise in too, though it's not as nice weather-wise here..

Hi Lee – sounds like a good mix .. and the piper on the beach – that must be lovely to listen to and watch … though I'd prefer summer time!!
At least you seem to have had a balanced weekend … it's peaceful over here – I enjoy your Thanksgiving … a bit of space!!! Except half of the UK is under water .. thankfully not here! Cheers Hilary

Thank you for sharing the lovely photos, Lee! π I had a great holiday, too. Family, food, target practice, and euchre!

Oh wow, that piper moment was probably so surreal with both the visual and audio hyping the senses.
The holiday was a great time with friends, extra time bonding with my Chipmunk and promoting my book for Black Friday thru Cyber Monday.
Stuffed and stuffed.
