I’m doing this again this year to raise money for the new Los Gatos Public Library equipment. For every post up until April 2, I’ll donate 50 cents for the first 200 followers I get.
If you leave a comment I’ll add another 50 cents for that new follower or for the person already following me. Let’s support our libraries. Be sure to visit all of us who are taking part in this great challenge. Here’s a list:

I am living in Costa Rica, a land without libraries or books in general. You are so lucky to have a library and most people take them for granted.

Hi Chandler,
You don't have to visit all of those links. They're just there if you want to. If you follow me and comment, I send $1 more to my library.
That's it!
Thanks for the visit. And thanks to the rest of you who have helped me in this challenge.

Wow, this is a brilliant idea! Our county library (L.A.) is struggling also, and our school had to lay off the librarian. So sad. Thanks for doing this.

Ahhh, libraries. Went to school in downtown Lexington and many days walked to the public library. (Now the Carnegie Center) I can still smell the musty stacks, and feel the excitement of wandering through a canyon of books. My idea of heaven; then, and now. Save the Libraries!

Libraries capture our lives in books … they share ideas with the world of readers and make people of all ages smile. I worked in a library during my undergrad years on campus; loved every minute of it. A book and its home equals a library!
Jenny says
How nice of you – I do love to go to the library. The smell of the books, the endless possibilities…

Thank you for your library love, Lee. I'm glad to participate. Ours is doing so badly, if people didn't donate books, I'm afraid there would be no new releases in the YA section.
Catherine Stine says
I love libraries. I'll never forget the excitement of checking out a huge pile of books every summer, to read up in our vacation place in New Hampshire. Favorite childhood reading memory!

Libraries have friends out there!
Bish Denham says
Such a wonderful thing to do, Lee. I'm fortunate our library, though small, is doing well. If fact it's doing so well it's being expanded, they are actually making more room! (The only hard part is that it will be closed while they make the renovations.)
Mason Canyon says
It is sad that libraries are having to cut back or close.

Libraries all across America are closing. It's sad.
My young street kid, Victor Standish, stays all day at the library to stay warm and safe from the gangs. It's my subtle nod to the contributions our libraries in all our cities make to our young.
The Words Crafter says
What a neat, and very generous idea! Especially since so many libraries have been closed…..good luck!
