I’m late!
I overslept.
I forgot to be INSECURE TODAY.
Thanks ALEX |
Actually, I’m not Insecure today. I’ve decided that for the month of May I’m going to refuse to allow my nail biting, stomach-churing, headache-producing self-doubts to creep in.
Nope not once.
“How does she do it?” You ask, wringing your hands and leaning in for my bit of wise advice.
Here’s my answer–actually three answers. . .and all pictorial.
One Sniff and Poof Go the Insecurities |
Insecure? What’s that? |
Yumm. Can’t be Insecure and eat blackberries at the same time. |

LOVE the pics and LOVE blackberries…
Terrific Lee!

I'm right there with you on all three of those things, especially the blackberries. Berries of any type set my mood on a whole new plane.

You were late? You got to my blog before I even posted for IWSG. Okay, it wasn't my turn, but still… I was outside eating blueberries and forgot to check! My cats meowed, and I fed them instead of checking my blog. I even fed our chickens and the neighbors' goats. What did I forget? Oh, the flowers. Surely, I didn't forget to post IWSG…at least not until this afternoon. Talk about late. But at least my paragraphs are formatted right for ebooks. That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.
Al Diaz says
That puppy look just melted my dragon heart! And I am eating blackberries too. Plenty of them.
Angela Brown says
You had me at the puppy π
Samantha May says
I WANT THAT PUPPY.
Sorry for yelling. I get excited about these things. All of those pictures are enough to make feel secure! Too bad I have none of those things at the moment π
Emily R. King says
Blackberries! Add some ice cream and I could be persuaded to forget my insecurities too. π
Lynda R Young says
The perfect advice.
I need to get me some blackberries! π
S.K. Anthony says
All right . . . that's it. I'm moving in for the month. It only took three pics to convince me. What? Is that not what you were going for? Ah well. Either way, I like your May plan. I'll try to follow it also. π
S.K.Anthony: IWSG
Lexa Cain says
Yes, those picture look un-stressful and pleasant, and I hope you have a delightful May. But with my luck, the flower's pollen would make me sneeze, the oh-so-cute puppy would poop in my shoes, and the black berries would give me the runs. π
Christine Rains says
Great ways to beat the stress! I have to visit with the in-laws this coming weekend, so no way I can beat the stress. =P
Susan Gourley/Kelley says
What a perfect answer to stress. I'm munching on grapes while I write this but I'd rather have blackberries.
Natalie Aguirre says
Awesome way to stay confident. I'll have to try it.
Arlee Bird says
I try my best to avoid insecurity. My secret? I tend to be oblivious to things around me. And I forget easily. I'm kind of like Alfred E. Newman.

Hi Lee, celebrity author superstar,
First of all, thank you so much, once again, for putting up a posting regarding "IWSG" aka "I Was Seeking Gary." I'm overwhelmed by your dedication to me and I note how all the others made mention of me in their comments. Thus, thank you all so very much. I'm crying tears of joy.
One sniff and poof? Did you know that "poof" is a British word for footstool? What a lovely looking puppy. With that, I shall go eat some blackberries and think about how nifty neato you are.
Yep, your starstruckest fan,
Gary π
Theresa Milstein says
Good for you! I wish I were in the same headspace.
Those pictures made me smile.
Tina says
Love it. Now throw those blackberries into a cheap chardonnay and they'll both be happier. I love lilies, and puppies. Need a therapy dog, I believe π You know, fully trained and sweet and adorable and follows me around giving me love and attention…yeah…sounds good.

Last night around 9pm, I realized the blog I'm supposed to post for a client at 6 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays hadn't been written. So I had to write a 300-word blog about technology at 9 p.m., when my brain is no longer functioning! So I could relate to you oversleeping in a big way!

Great post! I overslept last week and woke up ten minutes before I had to leave the house. However, I did not wake up as creative as you. Thanks for these anti-insecurity tips. I'm going to go smell some flowers and eat some blackberries.
Margo Kelly says
Oh. My. Gosh. I LOVE this post!! And I love flowers, dogs, and blackberries! I have cut my blackberry bush back BIG time this year, and it is just now starting to grow again. I'm hoping for a big crop of fresh berries in August. Now … I'm off to follow your example and try to not be insecure today. π
Samantha Dunaway Bryant says
LOL. I enjoyed it. I don't want another puppy right now, but I can do blackberries. Or maybe strawberries. It's strawberry picking time in my neck of the woods.
Melissa says
Oo. My mom's got a mulberry tree in her front yard. I'll run over and eat some berries right off the tree. Then I'll drive up to Ohio and play with Carrie Butler's new puppy. π
Great post. π
