One Pond Lily the Raccoons Didn’t Get Last Night

A Happy Face that Greeted Me in The Garden This Morning
******

Lexa Cain, Medeia Sharif, Beth Fred
offer up some literary cuisine.

My quote for the day:  “Work is the greatest thing in the world, so we should always save some of it for tomorrow.” Don Herold, Humorist

Be sure to visit the others and see what SMALL THINGS they’re celebrating. How about entering the International Postluck Blogfest? I’m already in. I love to eat and read at the same time.

The flowers are gorgeous. I'd be smiling too, if I saw that pretty sunflower!

Lovely flowers. Too bad about the lilies. I love seeing them in ponds. I look forward to the blogfest entries.

Beautiful flowers and I love the quote about work. Unfortunately, I've saved most of my work up all week because family is in town, so my fingers are going to be on the keyboard the next couple of days!

Those are lovely flowers. My mom always had flower beds when I was little, so I have a love of flowers thanks to her. Too bad I'm not too good at keep said flowers alive. ><

Hi Lee – do raccoons eat your pond lily .. they are so beautiful .. mind you the sea-gull fledglings are pecking away at everything – wretched things!

Beautiful photos though .. and I think the bloghopfest will need to be combined with my running post …

    Cheers Hilary

I can't imagine why the racoons eat your lilies. I'd think the sunflower (with its seeds) would be more tempting. Now, if there was something in those lilies – like French fries or a brownie! – I'd be tempted to invade your lily pond too. 😉

Looks like the raccoons did leave beauty to be beheld. Sorry about the others they enjoyed, but I guess all things play there part in the circle of life.

I had a dream last night where I saw a raccoon catch a squirrel. It was bizarre. Wonder if it meant something??? Beautiful flowers.

Pretty flowers, that lily is a survivor 🙂

I like that quote . . . leave some work for tomorrow. Sounds like a great plan, especially since the end doesn't seem to be in sight for me right now. Sigh. I feel better about it now lol
