Apples are the best fruit. Highly portable, delicious and keep the doctor away. So I’m celebrating my apple trees. By April this one will be full of blossoms. Then the deer will hang out and wait for the fruit. They’ll clear the bottom limbs, but I’ll get the apples higher up. . .if I hurry before the birds find how juicy those red things are.
Butterflies always deserve to be celebrated.

Beautiful butterfly. I believe only a few types of apples grow in Florida.
I look forward to A to Z.
Bish Denham says
Ooooo, apples don't grow here. At least we have butterflies. And I'm not revealing my A to Z theme until April 1st! π
Shah Wharton says
Oh, I haven't had an apple in months! And I so wish I could have participated in A to Z this year, and go you, almost all done. π

Sam (Realm of Fiction) says
I like the idea of celebrating the small things! Apples are delicious and butterflies are always lovely to see. Especially where I am! We don't get very many very often in the summer.

Apples and Butterflies – great celebrations π

Nothing better. Well chocolate turtles aren't too shabby!
Cathrina Constantine says
My in-laws used to have apple trees, but they got too big & cut them down. Now we venture to an apple orchard and pick apples. I'm also ahead of the game with the A to Z posts. Last year I fried without a theme and posting everyday….Good to hear you're on top of things. Have a good weekend.
C. Lee McKenzie says
I had my own learning curve with the A to Z, too. Thanks to those experts I now have a theme and the posts scheduled.
Empty Nest Insider says
I'm glad that you're so organized for A to Z! How wonderful to have your own apple trees. Hope the deer will share some with you!

Love butterflies, and I have an apple tree in the backyard.. now only it would hurry up and grow so I can eat its apples:)
C. Lee McKenzie says
When they come, you'll be in apple heaven.
Carrie Butler says
Oh my goodness. I'm such a weirdo, but… butterflies freak me out! LOL
C. Lee McKenzie says
You're the first one I've ever heard of having that fear. Must be a childhood memory, Carrie. π
Arlee Bird says
Wish I could say the same as you! I need to get busy or I may join Gary in Alphabet Hell.

Aha, Arlee Bird, welcome to Alphabet Hell!!
Hey celebrity, Lee, I would ask you to join me in the Anti Hop Camp. Sadly, as noted, I'm too shy to ask. Poor me!
Arlee Bird says
Funny, I wanted to ask you to join us in the A to Z but I've been too shy to ask you.
Or maybe I did ask and I'm so forgetful that I forgot I asked. I must have too many letters in my brain.
No, poor me. I'm poorer me than you are.

I had this tiny moment of panic…oh no! I missed March. Laugh, but it could happen π
I thought of not doing it this year, but I am a junkie for peer pressure, so I am in.
C. Lee McKenzie says
I'm keeping a lot people on edge with this post! Didn't mean to.
Karen Lange says
It's hard to believe that it's almost time for A to Z. I'm thinking one of these years I'll jump in and join. π
Thanks for stopping by my blog for Alex's interview. Have a great weekend!

Tortured just a tad? This is just the beginning, I'm afraid.
Lexa Cain says
When I lived in Indiana, we had a cherry tree in our backyard and I remember maiking a few lovely crumbles and pies! Having fruit trees is really a blessing. I haven't written any of my A-Z posts yet because I'm trying to finish my WIP and I have 2 ARCs to read/review. ARGH! I'll never get everything done by April. π
C. Lee McKenzie says
One letter at a time, Lexa! I know you'll make it and I know that WIP will, too.
Suzanne Furness says
Apples and butterflies, what lovely things to celebrate.
C. Lee McKenzie says
Always! Thanks for the visit.

The only way I'll get through April!
Angela Brown says
Every time I think of the little things, a feeling swarms me from within, this overwhelming feeling of how blessed I am even when I think things aren't as I may think they should be. Then I want to small just because. π
Enjoy the fruit to come (in more ways than the apple tree) and good on you for getting started on the challenge π
C. Lee McKenzie says
I love your phrase, "the fruit to come." Lovely.
Alex J. Cavanaugh says
Glad you're almost done with your posts for the Challenge!
C. Lee McKenzie says
Must do some re-checking, but I think I've got 'em under control.
