The brainchild of Arlee Bird, at Tossing it Out
|
Luscious
I can’t say this word without drool being involved. I think of food immediately. Like
this 284 calorie (158 g.) Hot Fudge Sundae with 25% saturated fat content.
Or (have to have at least one green veggie, right) green beans (1C. 125g), .078g saturated fat–without butter, of course.
Enchilada (1/ 192g) 323 calories, 45% saturated fat!
Hotcakes (2/ 232.g) 520 calories, 29% saturated fat. Oye. Who can eat only 2?
Mud Pie (1/8.5 oz) 680 calories, 49% total fat. Did you know you have to walk 189 minutes to burn 680 calories?
Sorry I have to go eat now!
Did I make you drool? Hope so.
Did ruin anyone’s favorite food snack by posting the calories and fat information?
Do you care a flying fig about any of this?

Hello Lee,
Yes indeed, a luscious posting. Heck, after reading this and gazing at the photos, I'm more of a drooling wreck than normal.
Hope you had a nice weekend. Right then, must go back to Canada and have a Tim Hortons doughnut, or donut, sorry spell check…

I was a professional dancer and singer for a long time and was always on a diet. I hated it. Now that I'm retired, I eat whatever I want, and yes, have gained a lot of weight, but I'm happy and relaxed. That's something money can't buy.
Loved all the pics! π
Medeia Sharif says
The sundae and hotcakes are making me hungry.

Costa Coffee cafes do this nasty thing too – put the calorific value of everything next to the food item!! I appreciate why it's done but it sort of takes the joy out of the coffee break somewhat!! LOL!! Take care

LOL…yum yum! My keyboard is drenched in drool. Well, the calories part didn't faze me at all. I burn lots of calories when I am on my shift at work, so this is definitely up my alley. *heading to the ice cream shop across the street**
Trisha F says
If I wasn't already stuffed from what I've eaten today, I'd probably want to go out and eat all of this right now! Thankfully I am indeed still full up π
Kirsten says
Those hotcakes look lush! You're making me hungry. π

It all looks so good, though….

I'd say start all over again! Have a great weekend.

I should care about the calories and fat but it's hard to. I used to eat anything and not put on weight, but now I'm in my 30s my tummy isn't playing ball any more!
C. Lee McKenzie says
That metabolism is a tricky devil!
Michael Di Gesu says
Okay,
I am ready to reach through my computer screen to grab that MUDPIE!!!!! YUMMM… Why are you doing this to me? Not fair…. LOL.
C. Lee McKenzie says
Sorry, but I'm an equal tantalizer, so all who stopped by got the same treatment.

Of course they were. So glad you enjoyed!

We had pancakes this morning. Mine are much less fat and calories though.
C. Lee McKenzie says
And you ate only two, right?
Jinky says
I missed breakfast & now I'm even more hungry!! ..not crazy about the enchiladas tho cuz I don't like corn tortillas but found a recipe by dear Paula Deen using flour tortillas & wow, yummo & I'm sure very luscious with fat!! π

This reminds me of Serendipity III in Las Vegas. Have you ever been? It's in front of Caesar's palace and serves the most delicious treats. I had a deep fried oreo sundae…it was so good.
C. Lee McKenzie says
You actually ate one of those and lived to tell? I'm impressed.
M Pax says
I'm surprised a hotfudge sundae is only 284 calories. Still too many for me…
Veggies are terrific roasted, and you can use very little fat when doing so.
C. Lee McKenzie says
They are good roasted or on the bar-b-que. Good girl!
Alex J. Cavanaugh says
I haven't had breakfast yet and now I am starving!
The word makes me think of lips though…
C. Lee McKenzie says
That's your gender, Alex!
