The brainchild of Arlee Bird, at Tossing it Out
|
As a writer, my real tools are the words in my language. Fortunately, English has a ton–with more being added everyday. You can see where this is going, right? My favorite words from AtoZ. Okay, stop the sniggering. I’m not as creative as some, so give me a break, take a look and add your favorite word in your comment. I can always use more words.
Bodacious
Do you remember the line David Keith had in an Officer and a Gentleman? I loved that line because it used bodacious and “ta ta’s” in the same sentence.

Bodacious is a fine word, and very satisfying to say, too. One of my favourite "B" words is bloviate (to talk at length, especially in an inflated or empty way) because it sounds so much like what it means. We ALL know a bloviator, don't we? 🙂
Angela Brown says
HA! Bodacious. Talk about a word that brings back memories 🙂

Haha, yes, I remember that line! That's such a good movie. I'm trying to think of a "B" favorite word, and I can't think of one (though I know you just asked for a favorite overall). Let's go with brainiac since it popped in my head.

Hey C. Lee,
Good grief, thought I'd have to scroll for the next two weeks to get to where to comment. Now, I have to scroll back up to reread your posting. A brief musical interlude….Okay, I'm back.
Your posting was like totally bodacious and sorry spell check, that is a word. TTFN, or Ta Ta For Now. And thanks for letting me know you start at the beginning of the alphabet. What was I thinking…
