I posted this in November of 2009! Imagine. I was discumboobled even then. Maybe it should have been discombobulated? At least this year I’m aware that the word I used originally isn’t a word anyone recognizes. It must have been a wild 2009!
So here’s my Deja Vu Post.
Discumboobled
Is that how you spell it?
Tonight is another book signing APPEARANCE and I’m still putting together what I want to say. Then there’s company arriving, my mom who needs some TLC, the cat with a hairball issue, and a leaky toilet. I haven’t blogged in days. I’m wearing my baseball hat all day because I can’t use Halloween as an excuse for my hair anymore. My Tweets have turned to Chirps and when I looked at the garden from my window one of my patio chairs is floating in the fish pond.
Anybody have a system that keeps writing, family, pets, house, and personal hygiene needs under control? If so, please send ASAP!
In the meantime, wish me luck with tonight.
So that was my 2009 post. Deja Vu anyone? Hope you’ll go to the others in this retrospective week and say hi. Here’s the link to D.L. HAMMONS‘s blog again. Their posts will go up on Friday 19 Dec.
Back to 2014 and the Christmas Present. May you and those you love be well and share beautiful time together.

A good post about a writer's life, while being lived! Thanks for sharing, and for commenting on my blog. I've never heard of Thunderclap, so thank you for introducing me to it. I'm sorry I got here too late to be of use to you, but looks like you did well anyway! Happy New Year!
J Lenni Dorner says
Very cool.
I did the Thunderclap. I've never heard of that before– looks interesting!
Suzanne Sapsed says
LOL! Catching up with the blog hop π Love the word discumboobled (although the inner smutty teen in me wants to giggle at boob!). This sounds like my life most of the time, glad it's not just me. Has it got any less discumboobled? x
Nick Wilford says

It does feel like a juggling act most of the time, doesn't it? I'm dealing with a book release right after the holidays and it's definitely stressful! Too much to do and so little time.
Michelle Wallace says
Lee, I missed you!
Discomboobled? Love it! Sounds like it belongs to my whacky word game!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Lee.
Here's to a prosperous 2015, may it be filled with extra glibness and loads of creativity!

Now I really feel bad that I'm still not on Twitter, and you've been "Chirping" since 2009! It seems like you're busier than ever now, so your practice run really paid off! This was fun, Lee! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Hi human and celebrity superstar author, Lee,
Your new young adult book is out and that's very good. Please let me know when your book becomes a pensioner. Arf!
Cynic alert! Oh my, yet another blog hippety hoppety that leads to a link that really is another way of having somebody bring attention to themselves. Sorry, blog hops are all about a sharing, caring blogging community. Ahem and arf, again!
I have the strange sensation I've been here before and left this comment….weird, eh.
Have a peaceful Christmas and the bestest of New Year's.

Holy crap! That sounds like quite the time when you posted that.
C. Lee McKenzie says
Did you just write crap in a comment? Bless you, especially since it was holy. I can see the halo already.
Lexa Cain says
I signed up for your Thunderclap on FB, since I have no Twitter, Tumbler, Pinterest, Instagram, or any of those modern social things … Maybe Santa will give them to me for Christmas. More likely, I'll get coal … which will soon be a new social media thingie! "COAL" – the new way to burn through even more time on social media!!!
Cherie Reich says
Congrats on your newest book release!
Merry Christmas!
Hilary Melton-Butcher says
Hi Lee – yea I haven't done it with a book signing in tow, or a mother that needed TLC, a cat with a hairball – an unfortunate 'disease' .. and then that toilet .. ah well .. nearly here and then it's all over til we resurrect the post again in a year's time!!
Happy Christmas and break time for you and yours – have a peaceful time .. Hilary

Yolanda Renee says
Love the deja vu – perfect! For me that was the entire year, although in a different sort of way, as life goes. Trying now to get un- combobulated from this desperate year and looking forward to the NEW!
May your Christmas be filled with peace and your New Year filled with creativity and prosperity!
C. Lee McKenzie says
Don't you think we're on a high speed train these days? I don't need to go much faster. Things are always a bit of blur already.
Thanks so much for stopping in to say hi. Merry Christmas.
Chris Fries says
That's too funny! Well, clearly you must have been de-Discumboobled at least a little bit, because you managed to make it to 2014 and a release of "Sudden Secrets!"
…or should that be "Recumboobled?" since it eliminates the double negatives of de-" and "dis-"?
At any rate, congratulations on the book release! And Happy Deja Vu!
And have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
C. Lee McKenzie says
Thanks, Chris. Great to find your comment at this busy time of year.
I'm returning your holiday wishes. Hope to see you in 2015.
Angela Brown says
Oh Lee…how you always make my day with your posts. This Deja Vu post was one worth sharing again. I could feel the familiarity of this kind of situation myself, the whole "doing way too much at one time and everything seeming already hell in a hand baskey" kind of thing.
I wish I could provide a great response but since I'm in such a state of busy-mess-ness *cue shifty eyes looking everywhere and nowhere at the same time*, I'll have to commisserate in the discomboobled state of being.
May you and yours have a wonderfully blessed Christmas and I'll see you in the new year.
C. Lee McKenzie says
Thanks so much for being here and for always commenting with such great words.
See you in 2015. In the meantime, I return your wishes to you and yours.
Michael Di Gesu says
HI, Lee!
Merry Christmas!
Too funny…. We've all had days, weeks, and even months like that. I'm still not able to balance all of it and I have no pets or kids! How do you moms and dads do it?!!!!!!
As DL says, you must all have evil minions…. LOL.
CONGRATS on your book! I am so THRILLED FOR YOU!!!!!!! I'll send out a tweet for you now!
ALL THE BEST!
C. Lee McKenzie says
I only appreciated my parents after I was one. But then we all fill our lives with so much these days. And then, of course, there's this writing business.
Have a wonderful holiday.
Jemi Fraser says
Discomboobled should be a word – love it!
Enjoy a wonderful Christmas Lee!
C. Lee McKenzie says
Let's write Webster! Merry Christmas. See you in 2015.
Beverly Stowe McClure says
Your posts always are a good start to my day. Thanks for the memories of your 2009. Merry Christmas and have a good hair day.
C. Lee McKenzie says
Your comments start mine off beautifully, so I guess we're even.
DL Hammons says
"I'm wearing my baseball hat all day because I can't use Halloween as an excuse for my hair anymore."
LOL!!! The only way to balance all that is to become a super villain and have your own minions to help. π Thank you for re-sharing this. Merry Christmas!!
C. Lee McKenzie says
It was fun to do this. So glad you came up with the idea.
Alex J. Cavanaugh says
Tweets turned to chirps – funny!
