About The Author: Pam Torres was born in Logan, Utah and did most of her growing up in Prairie Village, Kansas. Besides playing Dorothy during tornado weather and digging Peter Pan-like underground forts she also played piano and ran cross-country. She started her family early, and had five energetic and creative children, and returned to school when the last one was four. She has fond memories of reading and playing with her children in between hefty amounts of volunteering at church and their schools. Several of her favorite memories are doing writers’ workshop, updating the art docent program, recruiting volunteers, working as the parent liaison for the curriculum team, publishing articles in the newsletter and directing a very popular after-school art club.
About The Book: In the second book of the Project Madison series, things get complicated as Madison and Cooper try to navigate their new relationship. School has ended and they’re spending more time together, blogging, working at the kennel, training dogs—including Lilly. When Jonah, the new neighbor who has moved into Paige’s old house, begins to spend more time with Madison, Cooper isn’t at all happy.

And here’s a great chance to show off your short, shorts. It’s summer go for it!
A thought for the day:
“Whatever words we utter should be chosen with care for people will hear them and be influenced by them for good or ill.”
Do you like supporting causes by buying books? Did you sub something to the Write Club? Have any short, shorts to pull out for the summer?
Medeia Sharif says

Pam Torres says
Thanks for stopping by, Medeia! Great to see you.
Yvonne Ventresca says

Yvonne
Pam Torres says
Hello Yvonne and thank you. It is amazing the power people can wield with words. Choosing them carefully is so important.
DMS says
Congratulations to Pam! Her newest book sounds great and I love that she is donating some of the proceeds. Wow!
I love food from my garden- it just tastes better. 🙂
Pam Torres says
Hello DMS, your another familiar face in the crowd. Thanks for stopping by.
Nas says
Congratulations! Sounds awesome! And yeah the fresh veges from garden is best around here too!
Pam Torres says
Thank you, Nas. It's very nice to meet you.
Stephanie Faris says
Maybe I'd eat more veggies if they were home grown! Sounds like a lot of work, though.
Pam Torres says
Yeah, I'm with you on the "lot of work" issue. I'll gladly eat veggies from someone else's garden. LOL
Old Kitty says
Fresh lettuce from your own garden sounds yummy!! Yay!
Gosh – Madison's new adventure sounds fabulous and thrilling and I hope she and Cooper and Jonah! find a happy equilibrium! Huge congrats to Pam! Take care

Pam Torres says
Thanks so much for stopping by Old Kitty. I always feel like your a familiar face in the crowd, it's great to see you.
Pam Torres says
Thanks, Marcia! I like that I can eat as much lettuce as I want since I am counting calories lately.
Marcia says
Congrats to Pam. I remember the garden-fresh lettuce my grandma used to serve me. We'd sit together at her table eating wonderful salads and she'd say, "Oh, I could eat a ton of lettuce!"
DEZMOND says
there is nothing tastier and better than eating veggies and fruit from your own garden. I grew up on a farm (I know, who would believe it with me being so glitzy and glamorous LOL) and after I left the old place I've never ate tasty vegetables… everything from the shops and markets is plastic
Pam Torres says
I agree. Maybe it's the work you put in to get the veggies that makes them so satisfying. Check out your blog. Uh, you have some major hunk views, dangerous gorgeousness!
Lexa Cain says
I love the idea of kids training dogs, and the paranormal twist was very unexpected. Wishing Pam much success!
What did I get for my birthday this week? Heat exhaustion and vertigo. Woohoo? I haven't posted anything because I can't return comments, but it's always a pleasure to visit your blog.:)
Pam Torres says
Thanks so much Lexa. A birthday well I hope you had a good one. Happy Birthday!

Most things taste better fresh from the garden. When I was growing up, we had a large garden and fruit trees, so I had no shortage of fresh, yummy things to munch on when I was a kid.
Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar! says
Hi human celebrity author, Lee,
Lettuce think about your garden cos I want to. Arf!
Of course it's not just a dog. Pawsitive congratulations to human, Pam. Her book seems pawfound. Thank you for sharing this news, human, Lee.
Skilfully avoiding the dreaded links, I wish you a peaceful, pawsitive weekend. To you and all my adoring human friends.
Penny 🙂
Pam Torres says
Awe your so sweet. Tell your human that she'll love the book and come on over to http://soimfifty.blogspot.com for a chance to win. Were also giving away paw cookie cutters along with a recipe for some yummy biscuits!
Angela Brown says
Pam's book sounds very interesting.
I'll have to take your word for it, Lee, that veggies fresh from your garden are better than flash-frozen plastic packed lol! Although, fresh just has a nice ring to it all around when compared to flash-frozen.
Pam Torres says
Nice to meet you Angela. There is one thing good about frozen veggies…you don't have to wash them.
Beverly Stowe McClure says
Congratulations on your garden. I know what you mean. We used to grow corn, tomatoes, okra, and lots of veggies, until we started have droughts. Now, nothing can survive.
I love animal stories. Must take a look at this one. Thanks.
Have a wonderful weeken.
Pam Torres says
Thanks Beverly, I hope you will take a look. Be sure to stop by my blog or some of the other ones for your chance to win a book.
~Sia McKye~ says
My tomatoes and are thriving in this rainy misty spring. Love fresh garden foods and yes, much better than the plastic wrapped ones in the store.
Not Just A Dog has a good premise. I can see the draw for kids if they love animals.
Sia McKye Over Coffee
Pam Torres says
Thanks Sia. I appreciate your kind comments.
Caffe Maggieato says
Congrats to Pam! And I can only imagine how it would be hard to go back once you've tasted home grown. Enjoy your weekend!
Pam Torres says
Thanks, Caffe.
Melissa says
Nope. Still recovering from my debut. LOL
Nice to hear about all this good stuff, though.
Pam Torres says
Nice to meet you, Melissa. I check out your blog, very nice.
Cherie Reich says
Congrats to Pam!
I'm looking forward to the vegetables my dad's growing in our garden. Now if we can just keep the adorable bunnies away from them, then it'll be all the better.
Pam Torres says
Thank you Cherie. I don't think I've seen so many bunnies in previous years, it's going to be a challenge.
Tyrean Martinson says
Congratulations to Pam! I love supporting good causes.
And we love our garden fresh veggies too – although we've been slow to plant this year. I think we just have radishes so far – but they are tasty. 🙂
Pam Torres says
Thanks for the support, Tyrean. No garden this year, only my herb garden in a container on the deck.
T. Drecker says
Congratulations, Pam!
Garden blessings are always worth celebrating – they're one of the best things about spring/summer/fall.
Pam Torres says
Nice to meet you, T. Drecker. My favorite are flowers are vegetables that just come up out of nowhere, I think they call them volunteers.
Mere Joyce says
Congrats to Pam! I've never grown anything myself…it's our first year with an actual yard, so we're thinking next year we may try our hand at it…
Pam Torres says
Thanks, Mere. I suggest you start small. I went super big when I first had a plot and was totally overwhelmed, zucchinis, beans and more weeds than I could keep up with.
Pam Torres says
Thanks for stopping by Catherine. I'm lucky if I get some tomatoes done. Your garden sounds pretty exotic. Self-publishing gives me the ability to donate more to the cause of animal welfare. Spread the word.
Catherine Stine says
I've grown a few types of beans, but never Favas. I'll have to try that some day. Just planted new asparagus, parsnips, bok choy. Congrats to Pam Torres, and I like that she's donating a percentage of profits to the ASPCA.
Alex J. Cavanaugh says
Congratulations, Pam!
Write Club will be awesome this year.
And we try to get organic fruits and vegetables when possible. You can taste a difference.
Pam Torres says
Thanks, Alex! It is amazing what the difference is between the taste of homegrown or organic veggies. I have a friend who lives in Florida and if you want to grow them there you plant in November…That would be so weird.
